Interesting article! It's good that Sweden has such a refreshing approach to kids abilities and sensible behaviour.
I saw a 10 year old using an small axe the other day , and i must say i was very impressed .
The dad was just smiling and picking up more logs ...
"... Might as well put'm to work 'innit mate?"
I couldn't agree more , the lad was enjoying it as much as the dad ...
I think that wrapping them in kapok seeds 😏 and underestimating their intelligence and ability makes for a sad state of affairs ...
My 9 year olds have been using the round tip opinels for over a year , but this Mora is an improvement and good news!
The finger guard and handle size combined with it being a fixed blade , should improve their skill and their confidence.
And they might even want to make their own sheath, giving me an excuse to learn myself how to , with them....😉
