Neck knife for my better half

Hi guys,

I handled this Fallkniven WM1 for my better half. It's for general use and is a nice size to carry on a day hike. I'm not happy with the sheath so I'm going to make another with a fully enclosed flap around the top for her.

The handle is 5000 year old bog oak, with mosaic pins and a brass lanyard tube. I'm quite pleased with the beautiful dark, black and grey grain in the wood.

I kinda wish I had made one for myself too

Always love a bit of bog oak. How did you stain it to protect the wood?

Metzman, I sanded the handle down to 12000 grit with micro mesh and put a light coat of beeswax on to finish. Bog oak being the way it is I don't think it needs more than that.
