The Nav bead is a nice small sized liquid filled compass with a 20 mm glow in the dark photoluminescent panel on the reverse.
Ideal as the panel when charged with natural daylight or charged with a torch will glow for up-to 45 mins, with night vision adjustment, the bead its self will continue to glow for up to 12 hours at reduced luminosity, and of course it can be recharged when needed indefinitely.
The idea of a rechargeable bead is to use as a map reading light in dark conditions when the compass is hovered over a map there is enough light to enable map reading, saving torch time, glare and conserving batteries.
The bead can also be used to spot a fellow group member, attract attention by swinging on the supplied neck cord, or mark kit if not to far from camp.
NEW you get the above with postage.
