I know we have some serious flashlight / Torch aficionados here. So do any other torches/flashlights off this sort of multi battery acceptance??

Nothing on that scale but I've tried my little Wurkkos HD12 on AAs and it worked acceptably. It runs better on the 14500s but many 14500 torches don't seem to run on AAs at all.

I quite Like the look of the multi usage of the Protac - Would be a piece of piddle to get some 3D printed battery shrouds to go around the smaller batteries.

I feel a xmas pressie coming on.

I would ask myself why, that's not being dismissive but what would it offer me. I like either a long running torch, so the 18650, 21700 etc or something small and light such as the 14500, 16340 etc. I wouldn't find a short running bulky torch that useful. I like the backup of AAs as I always have a pack or two around.

Quite a few 14500 lights offer dual fuel AA acceptance, but as Slowworm says, the performance isn't as good. Nice option to have though. My 14500 of choice is a Vapcell F15 1500mah that give long runtimes and good performance.

Apart from the Streamlight you linked to I don't know of any others apart from the usual 18650/18350 short tube types.

Its a fair question and I guess my fair response would be capacity to adapt to whatever is lying around as a fuel source.
I guess I still regard some battery types as more exotic than others even in our modern western world ( 18650,21700, 14500, 16340 ) and AA's and AAA's being more something may find in any part of the world of lurking in the bottom of peoples trash drawers - the ubiquitous final use items.

One of my favourite torches is the Pal-Light , not a massive light output but from a single 9v battery lasts a VERY long time - I don't need lots of Light most of the time , just some to get by.
I guess the multi fuel ability of the ProTac appeals to that notion.

Each to their own.

I'm assuming you're talking in prepper terms? Li-ion batteries have at least a 10 year shelf life and are not going to leak if left inside a torch or radio. If there's any battery you're going to find in the bottom of a drawer that's likely to be any good, it's a Li-ion.

You'll find Li-ion batteries in everything from computers, e-bikes, scooters etc and it's likely they'll still have power. Unlike lithium cells that'll not only have corroded themselves, but also ruined the equipment they're installed in.
