Mountain Warehouse Merino Tops - Opinions

Mountain Warehouse have long sleeved Merino tops for £20.99 reduced from £44

Does anyone have one? How are they compared to more expensive ones?

I have one and also a more expensive version by Merrell and I reach for the mountain warehouse one more often, so I suppose that means I like it more. You are talking about base layer I assume.

I've a set of top & bottoms & think they're very good for the price. In fact they're the only Merino base layers I own.

I have a 200gsm merino base layer and a 140g one and I prefer the heavier weight - its a better all-rounder imho.

heavier psm is warmer, I like to layer, for example: long sleeve 200 with a 200 shortsleeve on top. instead of a 400ish single layer.

I like them - don't have the base layer from mountain warehouse but do have one of the long sleeved 'shimano' tops. They are very good and much the same as more expensive versions. The only thing I have noticed is that they aren't as soft as say icebreaker but for a fraction of the price it's a no brainer. After a few wears there's no difference imho.
