I prepared some Sloe Gin just over a week ago. I rinsed the sloes in cold water before adding them to the gin with some sugar.
A few days later, I saw what looked like mould growing on the top of the sloes (which are all completely submerged in Gin). I don't think it's mould; I suspect it may be small pieces of sloe flesh floating around. I thought I'd better ask just in case.
Is it possible for sloes to go mouldy when submerged in 40% gin?
