This is a week before Easter not the time I expect serious drifts but there are some bonkers drifts around the Peak district at the moment. Even after 4 days digging with all the JCBs, snow blowers and quarry diggers on the job there are still loads of roads that are full of snow wall to wall.

This is best pic I have seen from the top of Winnats Pass.

I had a walk up the Mam Tor Road out of Edale this morning think it might be a day or two before we are going out of the valley that way.

and not sure if it will work or not but I did a video of the road at Tideswell Moor, this was a complete white out on Sunday but they have got it clear now, impressive drifts though.

I went up the woodhead a couple of days back. Got as far as Crowden without the snow chains then hit a 6ft wall of snow... Bonkers !!

Are the sheep farmers losing many newborns up there? There are some heartbreaking tales.
