what do you all think of this knife?

i was thinking of making a leku but heck for the price of the blade i could buy a mora 2000!
and it looks great but i havent seen any pics of the "spine" yet, and it seems to have a different grind to it as well.

any input would be greatly appreciated.

A Mora 2000, is more of a general purpose hunting/fishing kind of knife, it's stainless steel, and it does not appear to be as heavy a knife as the other cheap bushcrafty type knives. It's a fantastic cheap knife for the camp kitchen/fishing/game prep. I've never used a leku, but I wouldn't use a M2000 for heavy stuff.

I love mine and it does spark a firesteel ok.

I've just ordered one from here. I intend to use it must for fish and food prep I think. I don't know if it will be up for batoning or not!

Bargain though really, as long as I don't get stung by customs (again!) they got me for £42 with my skookum :(

I'm surprised that you are buying it from the USA.

Aren't they available in Europe? No extra tax, quicker delivery,no chance of a Parcelfarce rip off.

Excellent knife BTW,I was given a blade and stuck a wooden handle on it.Very handy knife about the garden.

Bought three in the States, WAY lower price, had it shipped thru a friend.. ended up cheaper that way...Dutch availability and prices :-(

Don't know about prices in UK though...

PS: Almost finished my first "Mors' Try Stick" with my Mora #137 btw... last part to go with the flute :22:
