Here are some Old Hickory knives I've modified into poorman Nessmuks along with two Mora blanks with handles added and a Kareseundo.

The Nessmuks and Moras were done over about a month's time (off and on type of work), the Karesuendo blank was done about two or so years ago -just never got around to getting a picture of it.

Thanks for looking.

Fantastic work amigo... you have got to be the only other indy that i've seen who does sheaths with wood bottoms!... evrything there is top notch...
hmmm thee re a few old hicks lying around in the kitchen.. might have to wake a couple of them up for a little re-handling.

sheaths with wood bottoms!...

I personally like the wooden bottom sheaths, I find for me they are a lot easier to make than the full leather sheaths -I'm still trying to get the hang of the whole leather thing. The Nessmuks sheaths were at times very frustrating.

I really liked modifying the Old Hickories into Nessmuks and find that I liked the design as well, one reason I made them was to see how the Nessmuk type design worked out.

Especially the Mora 3.5 imho

I really like this one too it works great to carry in the pocket out in the yard and on the local trails -where a knife dangling from your belt is frowned upon.
