My husband and I are moving down to the south coast is he's just been offered I job in Bournemouth. We've found a house we like (I love the garden) on the Palmer Snell site, the one on Redhorn Close. It's easily commutable for my husband by either car or train. We're just wary because we don't know the area. Does anybody live near there? Or maybe has in the past? Is it a nice area to live or is there anywhere else you'd suggest looking? We'd really appreciate some advice.

Born & bred there!

It's near the Turlin Moor area, which to say was troubled was an understatement! Not a place I'd choose to live, but there's always good and bad wherever you are. I've been away from the area for 12 years + so I don't know what it's like now.

There are lots of nice areas in the area, you can PM me if you want and I'll give you my tel. no. Probably easier than discussing it on here.

I was born & grew up in Poole (Stokes Ave - the other side of the bay.) Poole's a lovely town. :D
Turlin Moor's still pretty rough, though I'm sure there are nice neighbourhoods and things are probably getting better. They seem to be putting a lot of money into Hamworthy.
2 years ago we moved to Alderholt. I work in Bournemouth, and it's about a 20-25 minute commute, which is actually quicker than when I was living in Poole :D Worth a look!
