does any one no any good ways to make a knife sheath with out useing leather iam thinking of covering the plastic mora sheaths with some sort of material any one got any idears or no a beter way to make a beter looking sheath than the original plastic ones?

For my Mora i cut the lower part of the original sheath off the bit where the blade sit's and made a wood lore style sheath out of codura then used the old sheath part as a protective insert for the blade. Sorry no pic's

I've got one woven out of birchbark. Beautifully lightweight and very traditional.

What I've done with Mora Q1 plastic sheath is i've cut lower part of the sheath and wraped it round with some leather from and old hand bag. It looks like a proper sheath, scandinavian style, but without the hard work and materials needed. Easy to do from whatever you got. Pics next weekend only, as this is my country knife that i keep at my dad's.

anouther 2 good idears thanks people i got a few difrent moras and have a classic on the way so i can try a few difrent sheaths

you could use some plastic piping , just heat it with the oven or a hot air pistol and the form it around the knife, i have made just that for a machete's sheath
