Hello All,
I`m looking for a shop that has large stocks of outdoor cloths particulary FJ Vidda pro Trousers so I can have a look at them and try them on. It would be great if the shop was in the northwest England area but I do get about a bit so.......... Anywhere.

Settle had a store called castleberg that had quite a few of their trousers on display when I last went in. Also had buffalo and paramo iirc.

Very much a trek from Northwest England but one of the Cotswolds Outdoor shops in Betws y Coed has a Fjallraven specialist 'shop-in-shop' and had an almost OTT number of different size/length combinations of various FJ trousers last time I was there. I'm not sure if any of their other stores offer the same thing, the website doesn't make it easy to work that out.

There's also 'The Mountain Factor' in Ambleside (a bit closer :)) which seemed pretty well stocked and is a Fjallraven-branded shop, last time I was there they didn't seem to have quite the same comprehensive range of sizes as the shop in Betws.

Thanks for your replies. I've checked the shop in settle and they don't seem to have FR gear but do have Keela. I'm near Warrington so Betws y Coed and Ambleside are pretty much the same distance.

That must be new since I was there last. Good to know as we often do the rounds when passing through!

Well I nipped to Betws y Coed and Ambleside this weekend and I'm a little disappointed. The Cotswold shop in Betws y Coed had plenty of fjall raven gear, at least one thing of all the most popular stuff, bags, tee shirts, sweatshirts, etc. Most colours of the most popular trousers and loads of the most unpopular colours but unless you are tiny they only had a handful, literally, of the common sizes but no large sizes which they told me they will never have in but you an order them direct from FR. Hardly any trousers for women and the ones they had in were size 8 for the most part. There was a few other sizes but no 12 or 14.
Mountain Factor was similar to Cotswold but had a bit more stock. But no large sizes and said the same thing as Cotswolds about it too. We also nipped to Llanberis and went to Crib Goch ( which is the same as the other two regarding stock and sizes but was much more helpful and the prices were lower.
Hope this helps.

That’s really disappointing! Thanks for reporting back as that’s very good to know.
