Light My Fire mealkit

I was at the Scottish Paddlefest and could not resist getting a Light My Fire mealkit, with a firesteel scout for £20.

The owner is a really decent guy. No room for a tipi to display but excellent kit designs. Will be using it in school when I'm teaching product design.

Really disappointed I couldn't get there this year. Was it up to the usual standard? Anything new and exciting?

cool bit of kit, never seen it before.

Didn't know the show was on until I went to pop into stirling canoes to ask about courses and stuff and found they were closed with a note on the door, by then it was too late to rearranged my weekend

Yes he was there, not tipi but about a dozen yearbooks. He may setup a demo tent at the Loch Tay Meetup.

Forgot to add that the 'Shark Bay' paddling in Western OZ, was given by a chap who does the 'Rough Guides' was good, even better as I won a DVD after answering a question on how old Stromalites were, over 4billion years old, the planets oldest living thing.

PS Forgot to say that there was 3 free Ocean Paddler mag issues for free (normally 4.99 each) and the SCA stuff was good. All for £6 entry.

The Mealkit is a good piece of gear. I tried using the cutting board/colander as pan slice a couple of weeks ago and it work very well. I had the best fried egg ever done on a trangia. Somehow the spork broke in two when I was washing up at home which was annoying, didn't hear or feel it snap so presumably it got trodden on or something, it had a name tag round the middle which must have been all that was holding it together.

The spork is PC (polycarbonate) which is the same as Riot Shields.
Surprised it broke but may have been on an edge when stood on.
