Letter opener from an old file

My wife has been asking me for a letter opener for her to take to work with her. I finally cleaned my shop so I can do some forging. She asked for it to be rough which suited me! Here is the result.

I was going to do a snake head where the leaf is but my wife said "no!" She's the boss!

Looks good mate but the leaf looks as though its in an awkward position for cutting the letters open.

you could bend it back over the handle.

It's exactly the way my wife wanted it, I even had to twist the leaf to the angle of her index finger. Like I said, she's the boss!
