hi all

just wanted to let everyone know that i sent my leatherman surge to whitby and co, these are the UK importers and distributors of leatherman in the uk, with a note explaining that i had a 6 month old surge that was falling to bits.
well today i recieved a brand new spanking replacement for it.
nice guys or what?!
so if you have an abuse multitool and feel it hasnt lived up to its reputable name, send 'em a letter and let them know about it!!

no affiliation etc, just right chuffed i got it replaced

Yeah thats worth doing, I have a leatherman supertool 200 that is more than 5 years old, used quite a bit, I can't quite remember what went wrong but it was fairly terminal. I sent it back to those guys requesting a exchange with a supertool equivalent and they sent back my original but fully repaired for no charge and quick as I remember. well pleased.

i had mine sorted out last year after i broke a screwdriver on it, good guys with a fast turn around, i got back a leather man with a half new bit and the other side cleaned and serviced with the blade sharpened. which i wasnt expecting

I sent my Wave for repair after a numptie I loaned it to snapped the serrated blade - it was back, repaired cleaned sharpened and with a new diamond hone (which was a bit worn) within the week!
This was a while back - but it is good to see that the service is as good as ever!
A great tool and a great company supplying them!

I broke the saw on an old leatherman 10+yrs old and sent it away, they sent back a leatherman core as the nearest model.. very good service,
