This subject is proving to be somewhat of a Gordian knot! So lets cut it, and agree to disagree over the common English name's usage? After all it will taste the same whatever it is called.

I'd like to propose a new name for this fungus that might satisfy all parties.

Why don't we call it...

...drum roll...

..."The Juicier Fungus"...

...because when it is damp it is juicier than when it is dry!


I think that the saying now is "I'll get my coat". :D
