Is something wrong with my trangia?

Hi all

I have had this stove since I bought it off ebay about 3 months ago, it is all nice and clean and has no dents in it.
Problem is if i light it all the flame seems to come from the center where the meths is, are the little holes around the edges meant to do anything??

Yup - after a few mins there should be flames from each (this is where the real heat is bizarely!)

if they don't - clean tham out (I use a unfolded paperclip )

i had this problem, sometimes the internal sleeve is not pressed hard enough onto the top of the burner, so no matter how long you leave it the flames never come from the holes because the pressure doesnt build up, try hitting the top of the stove GENTLY with a hammer, with a block of wood over the whole of the top of the stove, it may look like it has pushed the top of the stove in but it still works.

obviously give it a clean first and try the simple stuff, but if there is no change give this method a go.
