How strong is Comms Cord?

I've been using comms cord as my tarp guylines for a while now, and it hasn't failed through some pretty windy weather. I'm just wondering if there's any technical data on it that I could compare with other cords.

No really.. what is comms cord? Are we talking like network cables?

Comms cord is 2mm nylon cord used for simple "Communications" by pulling the cord between 2 people and using a series of "tugs" instead of speech. http://soldiersystems.net/2009/04/10/comms-cord-and-reel/

As for strength I don't know but it ain't easy to snap.

I've got it on a couple of tarps for guy lines too Michael, never had a problem with it either.

I'm preferring reflective or bright coloured at the moment though

I’m pretty sure that’s Type 1 paracord, the stuff that’s used to dummy cord stuff into aircrew survival vests. It has a breaking strength of 100 pounds.
