Went to my timber supplier today and took some photos and a bit of video of his grass snakes. snakes love tree surgeons yards as the piles of rotting woodchip are perfect for their eggs and the piles of wood no doubt harbour plenty of prey species. Henry keeps a few metal sheets laid out in a sunny spot over the woodchip and the snakes like to bask underneath, I have seen 12 under one sheet.
