Here and there
I'm getting a Vango Juno 300 tipt, and want to shed a bit of the weight. It has a steel pole, and I'm wondering if it would be possible to get two hiking poles, cut the top off one, and put the two lower sections from the other in the top to create a dismantleable pole which is high enough to act as a central pole.
Just wondered if anyone had ever done anything similar.

Try getting hold of a Carbon fibre telescopic landing net handle - it may do the job, be light and off the shelf ready

Summut like this maybe?
