Helle Kvernstein Knife (brand new and unused)
Kvernstein means millstone in Norwegian, alluding to the unique pommel on the handle of this quality sheath knife from Norway. The pommel is crafted from millstone taken from the 1300 year old millstone quarry near to Helle in Norway where the knives are made.
And that is not where the heritage of these knives ends. Consider the arctic curly birch used for the hand crafted handle. The finest quality leather, traditionally vegetable tanned and shaped into the typically Norwegian style sheath. Couple this with the finest quality triple-laminated steel blade and a design that sits perfectly in the hand, and you have a tool that is hard to rival.
Helle blades are made from triple laminated steel - a sandwich of Sandvik with two layers of 18/8 stainless steel to produce a blade with great edge holding ability and strength.
Each Helle knife is packaged in a handsome presentation tube, complete with a linen cleaning cloth, making them an excellent gift for any discerning outdoorsman.
The Kvernstein is a great all purpose (bushcraft, carving, hunting, etc) knife which, features a stone pommel, along with a birch and reindeer antler handle. It's smaller handle profile makes it a good fit in medium to smaller hands..
