HWMBLT is fixing the roof at the moment, but I'll pester him to take photos when he's back on terra firma :)

Truthfully, I'm fed up knitting this very dark wool. It's St.Kilda, it's beautiful, it's been spun worsted so that it'll take wearing. There's about 9 or 10 oz left (can probably find you some of the unspun wool too if you want a go yourself) having knitted two pairs of socks from it. (speak to Warthog1981 if you would like a review of it, my own pair have been worn constantly all through last autumn and winter, both around the house and in my boots.) It did felt, but the kind of felting that makes good socks fit your feet properly, iimmc.

There's enough on the five hanks and one ball to make another couple of pairs. This is not a soft/soft wool, it's not scratchy, but it's firm spun, not light and airy spun. It's the kind of wool your Grannies used to use to knit socks. It is very, very, dark brown, and not really for a knitting beginner. The socks are brilliant though :D

£15 by paypal and I'll cover fees and postage costs.

cheers,
M

Sorry, but the close up shots flashed and the colour is too light.

Five hanks and one wound into a ball.

I couldn't think of any other way of showing the thickness of the yarn.
