i seen on a knife test that the ONLY setback with the mora clipper is the way that the handle kind of breaks away from the tang when TRIED to break apart.....

now on the green "military" issue clipper with the solid green handle is this the same,or is the plastic molded around the tang?

just wondering. im in the process of ordering one.

The clipper is a superb knife and unbelievably good value for money. As far as I know all models have the plastic handle moulded round the tang, it takes a lot of abuse to part handle from tang are you going to abuse the knife that much?

If you are in a "survival situation" and only have this one knife then maybe you would be better with a bigger thicker full tang blade but if you have a saw or axe for bigger work the clipper is perfect. It will take battening on the back of the blade just not great hefty smashing whilst holding tight onto the handle.

Like Robin said, the only way you'll break any of them is through out and out abuse. Even battoning can break one of these knives though, so make sure you know the correct technique to prevent the blade from breaking.

well, i was going to get it and make a leather sheath for it.
but its the plastic bit i dont really like.

some of the helle blades you can buy and other sweedish blades...are they as good as clipper blade?

what is a good epoxy to use if i were to put one together. i was thinking of using antler for the handle.

what do you think of using j.b.weld??
