Myself and my brother in law took a day out to go and visit moughton hole yesterday, returning with a decent load after an hour or so's fossick. After getting back it was all children to the pumps with some smoother pieces being rubbed down on bricks in a workhouse stylee. Just to see how the stone could be worked you understand, not so we could have a brew. Definitely not. Oh nothing could have been further from our minds.

Some beautifully marked pieces, so far this is my favorite. Brings an edge up beautifully too, which I guess is the point.

Is the knife a Muela?

All in favour of child labour - peace and quiet while they are busy stacking logs, grass mowing etc then they're so tired there are no arguments at bedtime!

Its a laguiole, non edc, but I'll be buggered if I'm going to mod it. The whetstone pictured is one of the smaller pieces. Plenty of bits in the garden for the kids to do later! Must have picked up 2 or 3 kilos.
