I just meant to make a quick introduction.
I originally come from a re-enacting background (my actual day-to-day job being gardening retail) but bushcraft and the making of interesting outdoorsy gear is what brought me into the historical dress-up society in the first place.
As that particular niche is disappearing more and more in my hobby, I've decided to hang up my sword over the mantlepiece (literally and figuratively) and go camping regardless. And I can still wear my belt and my knife but finally wear a decent pair of boots.
Does anyone else here like making their own equipment?
