I came across this website today whilst browsing.
I'm on one of my 'learning more about wild plant' kicks at the moment, and thought I'd share.
Great website - Wildplants and funghi of the British Isles
http://www.floralimages.co.uk/wild.htm
.............and did you know that the seeds of water pepper (persicaria hydropiper) are used in 'wasabe' the Japanese hot green paste used in sushi or for mixing with soy sauce for a spicy dip amongst other things.
I was actually munching some water pepper at the weekend and knew the plant, but I didn't realise it was what gives wasabi it's spice.............cool. New knowledge
