I really cannot understand why someone has to flag it up every time someone sells a woodlore on eBay, we have seen it a hundred times before, is it that interesting?

Well this one is a bit different - it is one of the 25th anniversary knives and the current bid is the most ridiculous I've ever seen  £1270. With cheap credit drying up as fast as water spilt on dessert sand I wouldn't be surprised if this knife starts to drop in value as soon as its sold. Anyone remember what happened to the price of spurious investments in the early 90s?

Agreed - think we will see some bargains as people off load stuff to pay bills.

Silkstone, Blighty!
Number 16 has been up a number of times, but the user name is different. Saying that, the old seller is no longer trading on eBay, so I assume this is the same person. I now treat this knife with out and out suspicion.

I'm sure that you would only spend that amount on a knife if you could actually afford to. i personally think its a little bit silly but each to their own:dunno:

Very true tomtom - not really interesting.
However I think that letting forum members know about this knife (number 16 of the annivesary run) which in its short existence seems to have been sold multiple times could be important.
I noticed the re-surfacing of this knife a few days ago and have been keeping an eye on it (and doing some digging too) to such an extent that I have contacted ebay to raise the concern of 'shilling' (purposely inflating the price of an item or items which you are trying to sell) by the seller.

Is that a bid from the back of the room.....

Lets face it there is something very fishy going on....

but at the very least they must be building up some big sellers fees...
