Hi i really want to get my dad a small folder with a pouch for under £50 does anyone have any suggestions or links.

The best value folders I know of are the 'Swede" types. Here are a couple of links:

The Swede 10 is what I use as a neck knife. The lock-up is very solid, it's like a fixed blade when it's locked open. The Swede 92 is my all-time favourite folder for general use (actually mine is the older 'Super Swede', they changed the model name a while back).

Any of these knives will leave you some change from your budget for a pouch. Maybe call Heinnie for advice about the sizing:

Bear in mind that these are all locking knives, and in the UK you would need a reason to be carrying one.

I've had very good service from Heinnie Haynes and recommend them as a supplier.

Further to this I happened to look on heinnie the other day for a locking folder, the 92 has been on my mind for a while. I was stropping my small unlocking folder to cut leather with and I took my eye off the job for a split second and the knife grabbed and folded 90 degrees, that was too damn close! it would have sliced deep into my finger, luckily I managed to stop it.

So for that reason alone, if he intends to keep it sharp, go for a locking blade with a good locking system. The swede 92 is just right I think.
