Is this the sort of thing you're after. It has a pvc lining on the underside of the lid, and the same pic liner on the outside of the bottom of the pack. Side pockets allow for an axe to be carried between the pocket and the pack, if that makes sense. When I bought it from Endy's I think Kev mentioned it was pukka, but I have no idea how I can tell for sure. Here's a pic.
