Gaiters

Anyone know of any good quaity olive green gaiters maybe goretex or similar material? There are just so many different sorts it's hard to decide.

Also does anyone know of some good tough trousers as well as mine are on their last legs (I'm small as well, I've got a 26 waist)?

i picked up a pair of british army current issue gaiters from a car-boot sale the other week for £10 .

For trousers - I've always been a fan of the kiwi zipoffs from craghoppers as they are suitable for so many things be it bushcraft, hillwalking or just general holiday use.

I've never been a fan of gaiters when walking, but berghaus seem to be all the rage in our walking group. May just be that they are all brand conscience though.

Personally I use the Gore-tex trek mates but berghaus & karrimor do very similar models. Well worth thinking about buying a pair made of rip-stop though.

Don't know if there is an outlet village near you, but I find north face at cheshire oaks is pretty good, especially for odd sizes!
