Does anyone know if these are edible, they are large dark brown gills and peel easy they are growing in my garden

Those look like edibles...do they smell like one?

If when you dig your nail into them, do they go yellow?

if so, they are a `yellow stainer` and will give you stomach ache

Those are field mushrooms, same as what you would buy in the shops.

Did not notice any yellow staining they smelt like mushrooms but stem seemed hollow and brittle. ....did not eat just in case lol
