Last weekend I attended a Fungi Walk at some Hall in north norfolk.
Lots of fungi - we found many including Fly Agaric (amanita muscaria), Weeping Widow (lacrymaria/psathyrella velutina), Fairy Ring Champignon (marasmius oreades), Penny Bun (boletus edulis), some kind of Russella or something (spelt correctly?), a Blewit (clitocybe nuda), Red Cracked Boletus (boletus chrysentero) and Beefsteak Polypore (fistulina hepatica).
(Correct me if anything is wrong above).
Here are some pictures:
Jelly Antler?
Fly Agaric (amanita muscaria)
Cross-Section of Beefsteak Polypore (fistulina hepatica)
The whole collection - note that these were not intended to be eaten since there are some poisonous ones there.
I took home some of the Red-Cracked Boletus, Fairy Ring Champignon and Beefsteak with the assurance of the warden and the other mushroom geeks that they were edible; to cook at home. I fried the champignons and beefsteak, and have the dried Boletus while I wonder what to do with it.
