It's my birthday at the end of March. My mum offered to get me an ipad as it's my 40th, but I've had a think and have asked if she would get me something that would last. I've always liked the Frost River packs - I use an LK70 when going to the woods, but the waterproofing inside that is starting to flake off over the contents.

I think i've narrowed it down to the Frost River Isle Royale or Junior - I'm just trying to decide whether to go with the Royale or the Junior - my head says go with the larger one... Any thoughts? Or any thoughts on where to get a modern framed pack like the LK70?

Cheers

I've got the junior that i bought second hand. I love it but its a heavy beast when loaded for a couple of nights. I think for me the larger one would be too big.

Looking at these too. When I pack I carry my bedroll as a seperate item so I don't require a pack as large. Also if I'm not staying overnight I leave the bedroll in the car.
The Frost River that has caught my eye is the Summit Expedition which is pretty much the equivalent of the Karrimor Sabre 35.
