Some time ago I wanted to make myself a folding campsaw.
My intension was to make it with not so many loose parts.
This one excists of 2 separate parts, the other parts are joined together with rope and bolds.
The wood is second-hand meranti, and after the work was done I oiled it.

looks great Theo! - I presume the brass pegs are to help hold it together when in transit what a good idea.

Thank uou all folks.
What about the pegs, they are made of Beech wood.(less weight)
I'm a carpenter and for my saw I've choosen for the cheapest blades and I notice almost no different in the sap-wood ones or the death-wood ones!
The only thing I've noticed is that even you have the same length of blade, there is some different in length between the factories!
This fact has some consequences for constructing your folding campsaw.
So when you have done the job, stay with the same brand saw-blade!

Greetings Theo
