I've found some fjallraven wax in my cupboard. I've got a barbour wax jacket. Can I use the wax on the jacket or should I fork out for barbour thorn proof and paint it on

It’ll work, but it’s a pain to apply over larger areas. You’ll need a hairdryer or hot air gun to get it to seep into the fibres.

I use the hot air gun trick on my Keb. I was thinking it should work in the barbour as well....... I think it will be a long job but much less messier than the Thornproof paint-it-on method.

The G100 isn't as thick as the Barbour wax. It will work but won't be as effective. On the plus side, it doesn't smell nearly as bad as the Barbour wax.
weirdly I suppose, but I quite like the smell of a freshly waxed Barbour.....

I've used the spray on Nik wax wax for my Barbours. Hell of a lot easier to apply and seems to work as well as the Barbour product.

I doubt that both works well together.
I wouldn't do that with such an expensive jacket.

Put the rest of wax on the back of an old surplus jacket and it's away.
