With monday being bank holiday I decided to book a campsite and take the family away from friday to sunday, what I didnt tell the wife was it was a campsite that allowed wild camping in thier woodland. Firstly the site was excellent and campers on the site itself were at least 500yds+ away from us. No pitches in the wood just find a spot and set up, plently of firewood around and allowed to bring my own fire pit (they do have them to rent). Water on site and compost toilets a little walk but handy for the nippers. I'll leave thier link below as it is one of the best sites I've stayed at for roughing it. Link below

The trip itself was good, especially as it was a first for wife and kids but they handled it well. My feet got savaged by mosquitos and this is the 3 trip its happened, it turns out that during the night my feet are coming out of my footbox and laying directly on hammock clear of my UQ and the little buggers are taking my out from underneath. now that I've sussed it need to make some adjustments.
