Was having a go at making a scandi, after having reasonable sucess at woodlore styley knives. i really love my isski so here's the result,

Then i read the thread on engraving, so i thought, why not, if i c#ck it up, i can always stone it off. So what do you think? i'm pretty chuffed (especially with the sheath as well).

The blade is o1 tool steel, the handle is hawthorn, red fibre spacers, leather (died green with food colouring) and stag antler, plus a brass end cap and bolster from brisa.
the sheath has taken me ages, even longer than trying to get the bevels right.

Cheers guys, i went for the dangler style sheath as all my others have been normal ones and i actually prefer the danglers (as long as they are not to long). The etching is great, but make sure you use a coloured varnish (i used swmbo's finest max factor pink, she never uses it (calls it essex pink) but i costs £5 a go, so got into deep cumanchee (she did say use any one i liked!!!)
have a go and stick up some piccy's.
