my first forged knife
it was an old sheffield chissel (maybe not the best choice of steel ?)
handle taxus, with nice black dots (baby branches), linseed oil finish
hand grind

thank you Wacker! the convex edge has a mirror finish which contrasts really nice with the raw look . So you are so right, I won't be polishing that :)

Nothing at all wrong with the steel in an old Sheffield chisel, and that's a nice upcycle you've done there :)

Wow! I really like that! With a handy sheath that knife would be the perfect edc. I'm thinking you've been bitten by the forge bug and there will be more to come. Nice work!
