Carved last summer on the Craft week course i attended at Wilderness Survival Skills in Wiltshire
It isnt as clean now as it has had daily use for the magic life giving (and preserving) coffee

Love the whale tail, always think that looks good on stuff like scoops and small cups

Very tidy Sam - though is a waste of a nice scoop though, contaminating it with coffee! :yuck:

dunno what you mean Graham the first 2 pints of coffee are the best of the day
the other 3 pints are just to make sure i stay out of jail

Is that because you are initally too asleep to taste it then your taste buds are so shot you cant't tell ??? ;)

+1 for strong black coffee first thing in the morning (and several time during the day :) ).

But, I never let mine boil Sam! One heaped scoop in my mug, boiling water on from a height (to mix it you know) a quick stir with a cold spoon and a tap on a log and drink (OK, I leave the last 10mm and dregs in the bottom)

Very nice scoop BTW; I think I'll have a go at one of those!
Cheers,
Broch

It's not that I havn't tried to like coffee (have tried repeatedly over the years if for no other reason than convenience) but it still rejects my advances!

Thankfully I can take tea in all (sugar free) versions ;)

Takes all sorts to make the world I guess......

I was shown this method by Scruff last weekend and i have to say its very very palatable
Its similar to the swedish/scandinavian Kokkaffee method but its Mors Kochanski's technique.
Certainly worked fine for us as we drank around 26 litres between the group

Spot on!
And do not forget the pint before you go to bed!

It is a lovely scoop. I would love to see and smell it after a couple of year's use.

BTW, Swedish" kok kaffe" is a method where you boil shortly the coffee and water mix, once or several times.

If you were told otherwise - wrong information.

'kok kaffe' means literally 'boiled coffee'

The coffee is usually a medium roast, coarsely ground
