I bought this blank a few years ago off British Blades but didn't know what to do with it. I don't have any power sanding tools so it just sat in a draw until yesterday. The Mrs found it in the draw and said she would like it finishing for her as its a little neck knife and fits nicely in her dainty hands. I decided on zebra wood for the scales and brass fittings. The scales arrived but were mega thick so it took an age to file them down so they didn't look stupid. I'm really happy with it and more importantly, SWMBO loves it. My photography is shocking so the wood doesn't look as good as it does in the flesh.

Tasty, and I think you were right not to use liners, it doesn't need them, it looks great..............................atb mac

Thanks guys, I've got a stick tang blade too somewhere. Might do a little research and have a go at that next. I quite like unusual materials or colours for knives so I'll have to have a long think about it first.
