six years ago when we moved to this house i decided to plant trees for burning in my log burners,mainly fast growing hybred willow but also a few silver birch,sycamoor and a small orchard of apple and pear,planting on going and trees are doing well
first willows planted over 15ft

same with silver birch

these were planted 3 years ago about 5ft

these are this years

but the deer are haveing a nibble

saw this little chap just outside my kitchen window

may start coppiceing some this comeing winter and put some more cuttings in the ground.

we have two acres but may cover half acre eventually
