Fire steel tube?

Anyone found a tube that will fit over a fire steel that I can attach to the side of a plastic sheath A la the mora survival

have a look in your pen pot, there's loads of plastic tubes in there, one of them's bound to be the right size

Personally I'd go for something plastic or nylon etc. The compounds in ferro rods make them very susceptible to corrosion - the last thing they need is to be stored in a tube of metal which would cause differential metal corrosion.

A friend of mine uses a two inch length of push bike innertube slipped over the sheaf, works fine. Other than that maybe a short length of hosepipe taped onto the sheaf would work if you can find the correct diameter
