Where have you mixed and baked a bannock that was memorable or interesting or perhaps risky but hunger dictated you do it, or was it amusing?
Mine was last week when Mad Mike (Kents finest Bannock baker) went out to Darnet Ness in the middle of the Medway Estuary in my canoe and he mixed and baked one on a disposable bar-b-q on the last patch of dry ground as the tide was rising fast around our ankles. (we wanted to keep it below the high tide mark so as not to damage the marsh plants). As usual it was delicious and complemented the burgers and beer pics will follow when Mike gets time to post them .
