Exmoor, simonsbath, where to camp

i am going onto exmoor for a few days at the end of this month (july).
Does anyone know any decent places to wild camp near simonsbath or tarr steps or around this area. love waking up to amazing veiws. Maybe even as far up as lynton near the coastline. I am local but am new to the camping scene.

Hi Wilky,

I stay in Exford regularly. It's not wild camping but the Westermill Farm site has a field that allows camp fires, it's right on the Exe (literally) and basic amenities (not too pricey). However, this time of year there are going to be more folks around wherever you go in that neck of the woods. I know both Simonsbath and Tarr Steps lovely places. Sorry I can't answer as you wanted, but thought this might be of interest.
