I bought a rucksack a while ago (Osprey Crescent 70 Litre),secondhand from another forum. When I bought the rucksack it was in perfect as new condition but was also about 20 years old.I was stored for a while in my shed where it was chewed by my dog,he chewed one of the aluminium ferrules that supported a recurve rod.I though that was the end of the pack and consigned it to the shed for spares.I had sold the pack to a member here before finding the damage ,so the sale fell through.
Recently I bought another pack(Osprey Kestrel 38 Litre) ,reading the warranty I realised that Osprey guarantee thier packs for life, including accidental damage.I contacted Osprey on Monday and they requested a photo of the damaged part so they could get the right part sent to me.
Today the part arrived and has now been fitted to the rucksack.
In summary I have a second hand 20 year old rucksack that was damaged by a dog and Osprey still honoured their warranty and in very quick time too.
WELL DONE OSPREY.
