Dutch Ovens and Fire Pits: A Question

Just got myself a dutch oven. What do y'all use as a fire pit/bowl/range for cooking with it (with briquettes) to prevent damage to the ground when on campsites that don't permit open fires? Ta!

Bottom of an oil drum on "threaded bar" legs works well.

If you need to buy something, the base of a tripod barbecue is pretty near spot on

Excellent. Worth getting a good book on outdoor Dutch Oven cooking too, makes all the difference.
