Another little blade made. Handle is elm and has some nice intricate figuring up close. And the leftover scaling material has made a nice Ferro rod handle too. Waste not want not!

Looking at that I really must find a better backdrop to photograph them, too much grain!

Worth it for that kind of figuring though imo. Keep carbon fibre and plastics give me a nice hardwood any day

Depends on what you are doing with it. I love wood, but it's no good on a game knife, especially if you are going to sell the game.

My Skinner is wood handled. But don't sell the game. Long as it's sealed and well washed I have no reservations using wood
