Divers knife?

Sorting some of my gear out today and came across this. I was given it a few years a go but never used it or found out more about it. I think maybe its a divers knife but does anyone have any info on it?

It looks like a "deep sea divers" knife - from the days when they had the big brass dome helmets. I think it would originally have had a brass sheath too.

Found a pic of what looks like the same knife with original sheath, if so it's a Siebe Gorman Royal Navy diver's knife - about 2/3 down the page here

Can't see it stamped as Siebe Gorman on mine, could be a copy possibly?

and on some the name engraving appears lighter than others. As it's a diving knife it's possible that corrosion cleaning may have removed the engraving. I don't see anything specific about values but the inferences seem to suggest that they are worth quite a bit!
