Day pack decision

Chasing a new daypack folks, something that can accompany me both on hikes and ride the train. Thanks for any suggestions. Doesn't need to be too tough but ultralight material probably not preferred as it will get pushed through jungle some trips. black, forest or OD colour required

I have a berghaus centurio 45 largely unused unused which I wanted to combine into my daypack/hauler combo but it is too short backed and cramped for the latter task. I recently bought a lowe alpine sting for that task. I think the centurio 45l is going to be just a bit big and overkill for day use. So I really bombed out with that plan and looking to sell it.

I had a berghaus centurio 30, several years ago which worked well as daypack but they are fairly expensive to import new to my country. Not sure which way to jump on size either. Can I get by with a 20-25l, hmmmm...

Do they sell Highlander branded kit in your neck of the woods?

I have an OD Forces 25L as the "office" bag. Cheap as bags go, two bottle/canteen sized pocket, lid pocket, small front pocket, fairly decent back for the size.

Last year I bought a 1990s Lowe Alpine Walkabout, having owned one and used it for various tough activities in the 1990s (I don't know where it went to).

It is a really good bag. Much better constructed than most new rucksacks.

These really are super tough little bags, vary in price and you can get a really nice one. Avoid the surplus shops on ebay that have multiples for sale. Buy the one pictured and check zips are good.

Have a look at Hill People Gear. They are expensive, most likely more than you want to spend, but you might as well have a look at some pack porn while you are shopping around. The old Connor pack was a good small day pack with docking to a larger pack cabability.
