Dartmoor or Brecon Beacons?

Hi all,

I'll be going for 2 nights hiking in the hills in early October and I'm trying to find places to go.

The nearest places to me with any real hills are Dartmoor or the Brecon Beacons.

Can anyone recommend any good spots in either National park where I can bivvy with a tarp?

I'd be looking for some spots well off the beaten track, with trees and the potential for a campfire (small, leaving no trace, and only using fallen wood).

There is a wooded area above sgwd yr eira in brecon called bryn cul plenty of spots to pitch your bivi and plenty of wood for a fire and a stream for your water.
